A bit of a side-step from the casual AVGN video, he has a MAGFest 9 (2011) coverage video. About a minute in he plays our Inviso-Frogger mod where we removed the frog sprite during play so it becomes quite challenging. It is an original Frogger PCB with the modified chip swapped in.

I'd say the use of fluent to describe controls is acceptable. I believe he's using redundant correctly, as he uses it to describe parts of games where you do the same thing over and over again.Originally Posted by Drixxel

I didn't think that episode was all that great, ok, but not great. I like it better when he focuses more on the games and explains more of their backround and stuff while still swearing at the gameplay. To me he focused way too much on the back and forth between ROB instead of explaining things about ROB.
The way he copied ROB movements for a bit was awesome. I didn't know he was at 100 already!
I'm going to try to incorporate "You want a fuckin' gyro now?!" into daily usage.

This one was alot better than some of his previous ones. Many of them I enjoy, but this one actually had parts that made me chuckle

What is it with R.O.B.s anyway? Are they ALL evil?
Not all of em. Just the early produced models. It's like the whole Data/Lore thing.
The review part was good, but I felt the end part with the battle against ROB was weak. Of course, comparing it to the recent battle between Linkara and Lord Vyce on AT4W is a little unfair, but hey; the fight against the demon-possessed SMB3 a while back was a much cooler battle.
I laughed my ass of when he chucked something at R.O.B. and knocked him over.
I felt I could relate to this video so well because I actually think Gyromite is a pretty well-made game that's fun to play with others. I just rember realizing how much better off I was controlling the gates myself and feeling like the whole R.O.B. thing is superfluous.
There's an interesting line in the video, where James says that he doubts Nintendo's revival of the video game industry had anything to do with R.O.B. I think there are many out there who would beg to differ, actually. If it wasn't for R.O.B., Nintendo and Worlds of Wonder couldn't have marketed the NES as a "Toy" rather than "those damn video games that nobody wants", and they never would have been able to get the NES in stores. It just so happened that R.O.B. himself was totally useless to the consumer. Unless you've got a hard-on for Stack-Up.
