Default GEN-X Dual Station compatibility issues

Finally got my GEN-X...For me, is by far the best made clone I've seen....It plays great Genesis titles as well as NES games with minor incompatibilities like most NOAC clones are...Also,it is compatible with the Virtua Racing game that has the SVP technology...But I was definately sorprised when I plugged in a Genesis Master System converter!...it works!....But no perfectly....There seems to be only a controller issue with the D-Pad signals, they are probably connected to the controller port in a different way since, the Genesis controllers are not compatible with this clone. All the other buttons work as they should when a Master System converter is present...Basically you can start the game play in a Master system game but you can't move the character...There should be a very easy fix to this, but I'm just not ready to tear this little beast apart....Anybody up to the challenge?....
