    Default Buyers can't read.

I sold a few DVD sets this weekend. One of the auctions was for a DVD set which had loose disks inside. I listed them for $3 each, thinking they wouldn't sell for more than that... and the auctions ended at $15 a pop for some reason.

    Anyway.

I contacted each person that won the item to see if they wanted me to open up the item before shipping them out so the discs wouldn't get damaged further while they were in the mail, right? Well, one of the winners contacted me and asked me this:

"What's a new loose and yes pls reseat my DVD!!"

    ...

    *insert facepalm.jpg*

    I replied with this:

Ah... well, as I mentioned in the auction page, the package is new, but a
disc inside is loose. That is why the item was being sold for such a low
price to begin with. This was clearly mentioned in the auction page, right
on top of the picture. There's a LARGE chance the disc will be
    scratched.

Since you didn't read that in the auction listing, if you
wish to cancel the sale, please let me know.

Is there anything else I can do in this case? Any suggestions?

So he can then complain that it ain't "New" any more? He sounds a little crazy, I would just cancel the sale, get your FVF back and relist.

Three buyers (who seem to have normal intelligence) understood the situation and asked me to open up their copies. Turns out whoever designed those trays made them so that the discs, even when loose, do not move around at all when the box is closed. So even though the discs were loose, they did not get damaged.

Well, one set has some scuffs, but they appear to be from the factory, and the disc was fully readable on my PC so who knows.
