Default Guitar Hero/Rock Band brain "zaps"?

This started a few months ago. I swear I had a brain tumor. Or maybe it was the medication I just quit taking that was screwing with my head. Then it dawned on me. I think it's from GH/Rock Band scrolling.

Anyone else experience any head trauma while playing? I get these weird brain zaps, where it feels like for a second I hit a funny bone in my head, and it has the feeling of a limb falling asleep or a little zap. It seems everytime I play, this happens. Bad headaches too.

Or it's a tumor. Who knows.

They should make an update where you can click on simplified graphics and there won't be all of that flashing and what not going on in the background and more controlled scrolling or something.

    Or else I may die.

I did alot of drugs as a youth, and I think somehow the flashing and scrolling is actually HEALING my brain.

In all honesty, get back on the meds my friend.

    Coricidin?

Seriously, you may be experiencing a mild sort of epileptic seizure.

    That's what I'm thinking.

I know people (including myself) experience the 'acid trip' effect (play a song or two, then look at the rug or walls and watching everything warp and melt woOoOoOo) but this ish hurts yo.

Maybe I should START taking some sort of medication. Or only play Donkey Konga as my musical game. Or both. At the same time.

After a few Google searches I turned up "partial seizures" and "side effects of migrane medicine." If you're not taking any migrane medicine, you might want to talk to your doctor.

I play a LOT of Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and I've never experienced anything like you've described, and while I'm not a doctor, what you're describing does sound like seizures.

You might want to get yourself tested for the propensity to undergo seizures induced by light/color patterns.

That happens to me every once in a while, usually when playing a scrolling musical game (like Donkey Konga or Guitar Hero) for more than half an hour at a time. It starts to feel like EVERYTHING in the room is scrolling.

That's when I turn off the game and read a book for a while.

This happens to me when I play GH for more than a 1/2 hour or so. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

    DOCTOR. NOW.

And see if you can take your game system and GH gear so they can observe you in the act.

That's normal. Your eyes/brain are readjusting to non-moving objects after concentrating on a scrolling pattern. Hardly anything to worry about. I know a good number of people who have noticed the same.

The other situation, on the other hand, should make you want to get checked out, just in case. Don't want it to develop into something awful.
RIP bargora, you will be greatly missed. That is how we do things on Giedion Prime.

The first time we noticed this, there was a fair amount of alcohol involved so we dismissed it. Then it happened again sober. It's quite a freaky experience to have the world scroll up on you for awhile, but it's just a trick of the eyes, really.

Same reason some people get carsick while reading. Your body and eyes see motion and try to compensate, but you're not physically moving. Messes your system up.

But if you're tingling/getting zaps - get your shit checked out NOW dude.

Zaps and tingling is bad, dude. It's usually neuropathy, and it hurts, bad. I have it chronically in my left thigh, and I have to take Vicodin for it. That's just enough to calm it down a bit, too.

    See a doctor, really.

I think I figured out what it was. I was on Lexapro for 2-3 months for anxiety attacks. Stopped it cold turkey because it wasn't working. Now my brain cells are hungry for it and it's going through withdrawals.

People who quit cold turkey off these drugs experience these feelings. It sucks, and I don't think it's the rock band or gh III, they just seem to make the zaps come on more, due to the high level of rock and or rolling.

Yeah, that doesn't sound good. At all.

Also, somewhat off subject, but does anyone have their vision start to close in and get thrown off balance after standing up or moving your head?
