The Floating Knife story had me laughing out loud.

I'm actually not a big listener of podcasts but I definitely think I'm going to catch the next episode of this when you put it up. Awesome stuff man, I dig the old stories.

Thanks for checking it out, guys! So far I have a couple of votes for "more arcade stories" and one vote for "D&D stories" so it sounds like I have material lined up for at least two more episodes!

Thanks, man. If you have any instructions or anything related to adding this to a feed of any kind, let me know and I will post them to make it easier for other listeners. I am kind of new to the RSS feed/podcast game.

Good and all, But ALL podcasts I listen to have at least 2 people on the podcast. Get some friends and ask them to come on your show, Then you discuss topics about games. This is a good podcast. But ad some guest and then it will be awesome. But good podcast. Keep it up!

Dreamcast has a good point, I think it would make an excellent addition if there were two of you of a similar computing ilk who could feed off one another. Thinking of how people approached computers back in the day, I'll look into cloning another you using Vista,

LOVED it Flack! I have no problem with the one man show format, some of my personal favs use that format, I enjoy the Retrobits podcast as well as Retro Gaming Radio. One thing, you have a good sounding voice, I mean that seriously and believe me that IS important. For example on another Podcast that will remain nameless they have a group of speakers, one in particular, well let's just say if you cast a movie about geeks in the 80's and someone was intentionally attempting to "sound" geeky, well THAT is what the guy sounds like, when he is excited it's 100X worse, turns me right off and if it were not for the rest of the cast I would never listen!

I definitely like your format of stories regarding retro systems/games, it's fun to hear another person who felt the same about early gaming and computing platforms, the reactions you and friends and family members had, it brings back lot's of great memories, for me the description of those experiences is great fun, the more details the better please!

Good pilot show I think, looking forward to adding this to my lists of shows and hoping many more are to come, THANKS!

Great work Flack! I like the one person format just fine. Like OldSchoolGamer said, you have a great voice, and that goes a long way in the world of podcasting. I liked hearing about the Dancing Demon--I looked it up on youtube right after I finished listening!

I didnt wait until work to listen, & I like the one-man format just fine- that way there's no time wasted arguing w/ soemone, or people talking over each other like they do on Retronauts.

BTW- I listened to the 1st part of their latest pcast (FFVII), & I get the idea one of the guys (Jeremy Parrish?) is sick of doing them. Whovever it was said he gets tired/worn out after an hr or so.

Thanks for all the comments so far! Episode 102 has been posted, and the original post has been updated.

EDIT: Based on a suggestion, I added a flash-based embedded player to the posts. You can either use that player or simply download the mp3s.

Not a bad episode, love the stories but I guess you hear that all the time. Too bad you never treked out to Funspot before, ah the glory days preserved to its potential...

Just ran out of time. I am thinking of a follow-up episode later about current-retro arcades.

    NEW! Episode 104
Episode 104 (which is late) is about console copiers. In this episode I talk about where saw my first console copiers and some of the copiers I've picked up over the years. I also briefly touch on a couple of my favorite topics, "security through obscurity" and "security through minority."
