Default Looking for a Tristar 64

    http://n64.icequake.net/mirror/tristar64/tristar64.html

Here's a link of the unit. It is basically a pirate add-on for the n64 that allows it to play SNES and NES games. Does anyone have one of these they would part with? Please let me know. Thanks!

I used to have one when they first came out but I traded it away. Did they ever release one the played Nes games directly? Mine played Famicom/ SFC(Snes)/N64 games. I had to get one of those 72-60pin adapters that you can use on a Gameaxe in order to play Nes games. The unit also had some Nes compatability issues too. It wouldn't play any of my Koei games. I tried Genghis Khan,BK of china,Nobunaga's ambition 1&2,Gemfire and none of them worked. That was a big bummer since those are some of my favs. Also oddly enough Dragon Warrior 1 wouldn't work but DW2,3,4 worked fine. I can't remember if any of my other Nes games didn't work or not. There used to be a site that had a list of games that wouldn't work. It only dealt with Snes games at the time. I think some were the FX chip games and Mario Rpg. Good luck on finding one though

I hope I can find one. It would be a nice addition to my collection and just plain cool to be able to play all the Nintendo cart based system's games on one Nintendo console! No, the unit was only made with the Famicom 60-pin, so I would need an adaptor, but that is not a problem. The big problem is finding the unit itself! I remember seeing certain overseas dealers selling them for $79.99 back when I purchased my Z64, but the Z64 site is gone as well as the links for the Tristar. ONce again, anyone have one for sale/trade, PM me.
