    Default Wii component video "interference"

I am seeing strange off-color pixels on my Wii occasionally. This happens for example at the title screen of Smash Bros. Brawl, and in various times in other games as well. I don't know if this is natural or interference of some kind. I have never seen anything like it on a different system, and it looks more "digital" than "analog" if that makes any sense.

My component cables are not the official ones, but they seemed pretty solid to me. This happens in both standard definition and 480p modes.

I have component cables for mine as well, and not the official ones. For both standard and 480, everything seems fine. It might be the cables since they're unofficial.

I remember reading somewhere that only the original Nintendo wii component cables are the ones able to go into different resolutions and that 3rd party cables are not!...

I had some odd pixels showing up at the end of the alley in wii bowling. Then when I got twilight princess, I could see more strange pixels. Ended up sending it to Nintendo to fix it. New one has new weird pixels at all. That's probably the problem.

What is probably the problem? That I haven't sent it in to Nintendo?

No, whatever the problem with mine was. They actually told me that they couldn't find a problem and sent me a refurbished one back. Oops, I meant to say that the new one has no weird pixels.
