No More Heroes ending

so i beat the #1 ranked boss and then i decided to view the "fake ending" thinking i could watch it and then i could fight Henry. But it took me back to the beginning of the game. how can i get back to fight henry?

supposedly you need to buy all the katanas from naomi's shop before the true ending is available.

You have to have the MKIII equipped before the Jeane fight and the select "view real ending" after beating her. If you have a save before the Jeane fight, you can go back and do it again.

Even if you don't have a save at that point, it's not too bad to go through the boss levels on the second runthrough, since you keep all of your money/weapons. If you do need money to unlock a boss level, just do assassin mission #18.

yea, i do have a save right before jeane. how do i access it before going through the first sequence of guys and the first boss?

You have to go into the pause menu and then select what file to load. If you don't have the MKIII, you'll need to die and select the "return to Santa Destroy" option. You will then need to do Jeane's level over after getting the MKIII.

You might also want to get the item (forget the name offhand) that gives you unlimited energy for your sword. It'll come in handy for the battle with Henry. It costs $999,999 so if you need cash, do assassination mission #18 with the MKII and you should be able to get $100-150K on each run through.

energy saver, but you really don't need it since when henry does into a "counter" stance, it's more than enough time to recharge your saber.

Yeah, it's not necessary, but it's nice to have. Since the battle can take a while, it's good to be able to give your arms a rest when Henry is charging, or else you can use that opportunity to hit him with a charged strike.

It does become pretty much mandatory at the higher difficulties, though, since you'll use up a lot of energy blocking the strikes of the bosses and their windows of opportunities get pretty narrow that you won't want to waste time charging your sword.
