Phew, ok. For a second I thought Digital Press and Next Level Videogames were forgotten, but I didn't notice they were already on the map and not mentioned in thread.
It is offical....we are in Europe! 2 stores, one of them with a little shoutout to a certain internet celbrity. Also I need some help with adding the Super Potato stores. Yes I know where they are (Japan) and the adresses are located here:

(Yes I use google Translator, I do not know how to read Japenese)
However I have no idea what the addresses are, I am not fond to how the Japenesse addresses work so when I try to enter them into google...nothing comes up. Can anyone add these for me? Thanks.

Does anyone know of any game stores in Long Island. I'm going out there this weekend and figured I'd go where ever I could while I'm there because I don't know when I'll be up that way again. Specifically the New Suffolk. Thanks.
Your contribution is much approached, we all are in your debt.
I just finished adding EVERY Game Xchange there is (according to the corp site). Wow...MO, OK, and AR has a ton of these places in them. Play n Trade is next on the "corporate stores that have some retro" list but there is no master store list of easy reading...crud.

Anybody knows if there is a decent video game store in Virginia(central VA) that carry classic stuff?....There is a game store in my town but everything is nasty looking there and full of dust + the owners are not very helpfull at all and want to charge for stuff like if it was new....Their store name doesn't even deserves to be mention.

I added the 2 Slackers CD's and Games stores on the IL side of St. Louis. I only added the ones I've been to. There's about 13 total in the St. Louis area if anyone else wants to add them. I might do it later if no one else does.
This map is really making me want to move back east. Or maybe there just aren't enough DPers in CA
I'm actually surprised there isn't a boatload of stores in San Francisco. Maybe they just haven't been mentioned yet.

My concern is that some internet dick will add bullshit stores, edit reviews, delete stores, etc...
I mean it's a great resource and it'd be smart to keep it that way.
The only way to allow non-DPers to add stores would really be have them e-mail stores to someone and have that person add a store.
edit:
AHHA!!! The name of the map was changed to Vintage Stock. Someone named Amber just added a store called Vintage Stock. This was either an error on Amber's part or is an intentional way of advertising this store. Either way I'm not impressed.
I agree with you, however I do not have the time at the moment to create it private, then create another website with submission page to have it emailed to me, and then add all the ideas. To be honest I would LOVE IT if I got some DPers to help me with this site idea. It doesn't have to be much, just the map, explaining map rules, maybe some tips of retro, and contact info. Now if anyone in here is good at this web junk and want to help, let me know.

I just added one of the Disc Replay stores (http://www.discreplay.com) to the map. I only added the one that I've been to but there are a lot more of them.
Around the Dallas area, there's:
Console Game Exchange - 13331 Preston Rd, Dallas, TX
Console Game Exchange - 811 N Central Expy, Plano, TX
Console Game Exchange - 2601 Preston Rd, Frisco, TX
Play N Trade - 1201 E Spring Creek Pkwy # 140, Plano, TX
There's also several locations of Movie Trading Company stores across the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, but I don't know whether to list them because they really don't specialize in classic games. They're about movies and they've added classic retro games in small sections in their stores, but some stores don't have too much in comparison to other locations.
Here's another one that's a bit odd... it's CROPS Collectibles, in booth 2033 at Trader's Village (weekends only flea market) in Grand Prairie, TX. He's got far more than any of the other stores around the metroplex, but he's only a part of a larger flea market that's not open weekdays. I thought you might add it anyway, with the mention of it's circumstances.
I'd be glad to help. I'd suggest just setting up a blog that people can post to (or at least post comments). The posts/comments could be the names, addresses and reviews of stores.
edit: whoops - more vandalism - something stuck a store in the Baffin Sea called place mark 167. More likely stupidity than vandalism though.
edit 2: oh the baffin sea store is gone already - good job.

Ahhhhhhhhhh! I created a full time job, now if only I can pay myself...
However it is at the point that there needs to be a site about the map. However due to my schedule I can not get it rolling on my own (senior project from hell). So...this is a call out for help AND a checklist for me for future reference
1) Get a blog "The Giant Retro Gamming Store Map"
2) Add peeps to help with project add them as admins to blog and map, make map private
3) Tabs: Why a map?, How do I find stores?, Add a Store, Corrections, Map, Contact
4) Fill in each tab with content
5) Create a email system, someone submits a store, email a group, someone checks, then they add to map if it is legit.
6)*Someone dedicated on getting ad space (maybe from the stores themselfs) onto site, make money to help costs of people's time and web upkeep
7) Be retro gaming gods
*optional
Anyone wanna join the group?

I would definitely be interested in helping out with this project! Unfortunately I'd only really be able to help with adding legitimate stores to the map. My HTML skills are lacking and wouldn't trust myself creating reliable web pages for this.
But if you need help adding legitimate stores to the map I'm all for it. I basically do nothing outside of school and am on Digital Press when I'm in school anyway.
