Default The World Ends With You official thread

Recently I've been trying to buy only as many games as I can play and give the attention that they deserve, as I have a bad habit of buying way more games than I can feasibly play. April 2008 is a particularly strong month--Rondo of Swords, Opoona, Baroque, Okami (Wii), Mario Kart Wii, Arcana Hearts, Persona 3: FES, and probably some others, not to mention Bully (Wii & 360) and No More Heroes getting recent and significant price drops, but it looks like the only one of the above that I'm planning a day one purchase on is The World Ends With You.

The reviews are starting to come in, which are by and large excellent. And besides, the game looks full-on nuts and innovative as hell, which are two things I look for in games. Is anyone else as excited about this one as I am?

*raises hand* I am very excited for this for multiple reasons. As you've already said the reviews so far are promising and the game looks crazy, awesome and crazy-awesome. Besides that and the fact that I am a huge Square fan, most of my recent gaming has been on either a DS or a PSP because I commute to work and school most of the week via train and those are my main outlets for fun.

I played it for about 10 minutes.

Found it extremely dull to the point it felt like a chore, in fact it almost felt like a cheap flash game at one point for me. Maybe I need to try it again though....or maybe it's just not my game.

Oh, I found Hotel Dusk to be quite dull too. Still liked it though, despite all its major flaws.
