Microswitches in Atari Sticks?

has any one done this? replaced the funky metal popper things in atari joysticks with micro switches?

i have been thinking about it but i am not sure if it would be worth my time and kinda want to see some results before i try it my self

Easier to get a cheap Wico Command Control that has leaf switches inside. Space, needing to install the mounts, and the actual stick inside a standard VCS joystick not really being designed for normal switches are all problems which have to be overcome.

i have measured the height of the micro switch and its just as tall and the button thing in the stick.
i have a pair of the sticks your talking about and yea theyre awsome but they arent wireless. i found an orphaned wireless atari stick and i wanted to improve upon it. but i dont want to tear apart my first set of wireless sticks
