    Default Odyssey2 help

I have an opportunity to get an Odyssey2 console with the hardwired controllers for about $9, however it does not have a power supply or an RF Box. My questions:

    Did I spell Odyssey correctly?
Can I use the same RF box that Atari uses, or do they have something special?
What voltage power supply does the O2 use? Is it compatible with any other console?

If these questions have been answered elsewhere, please direct me to it, or if anyone can suggest a FAQ on the O2, that would help as well...

    Thanks much!

    Yes.

Can I use the same RF box that Atari uses...?
    Yes again.

You can safely use a standard NES power supply.

    Now go get that Odyssey2!

...as long as you don't have the early make with the funky connector for the RF adaptor. So if it's a standard RCA, you should be good.

So then, would the ones that Radio Shack sells work on this puppy?

As long as the console isn't the version Cap. Wrong mentioned you'll be fine. (Thanks, Cap!)

Early O^2 uses non standard RF connector that requires you to have the original RF switch box only, no 3rd party replacement exists at all. Or you could just open the O^2 and swap the RF cable with the one that has RCA plug at both end and use Atari style switch box. THe connector inside O^2 is RCA so it'll be easy to swap.

And not all O^2 uses the same power connector. Some early one will work with Atari power supply, others will work with Nintendo version.
