I know Sony likes to launch its consoles with a Ridge Racer game every time, but is Ridge Racer 7 on PS3 any better or different than Ridge Racer 6 on 360? Supposedly, both games include the nitrous from the PSP RR games, but what else?

Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.
afaik they're essentially the same game.
dtoid found a good comparison of the 'two' titles.

but really, if you've gotta look that closely (ie, zooming in on screenshots) to find differences, then imo they're pretty much even.
I owned a 360 and RR6 and I just got a PS3 and downloaded the RR7 demo. Based only on the demo IMO the PS3 version looks sharper and more detailed. They both look pretty cool but I think the difference is noticeable....I am one of those who thinks PS3 games in general look better than 360 games.
I was counting down the seconds until someone accused me of being a fanboy. This was pretty close. What did it take, about 15 minutes?
This isn't Colecovision Donkey Kong versus 2600 Donkey Kong here. The games are pretty much identical. But in general it appears to me that PS3 games look a little bit better, and this is an example. It's not night and day.
Well, I happen to be a RIDGE RACER fanboy, and I can say that 7 on the PS3 without a doubt is better than 6 on the 360. The PS3 version not only looks better, but I do believe that Namco did some fine tuning to the controls, as more importantly the PS3 version FEELS better. Hard to explain, but if you are into Ridge Racer and play them both you would know what I mean.
having both and played both, the ps3 version is a brighter in my book, as far as the detail, I would say, the cars, and levels look GREAT in both, to me the ps3 version looked crisper, lol. Other than that, both games are sweet, actually, it was easier to play on the 360, but thats because I am biased to the 360 controller. But both versions are nice.
To be this good takes AGES
To be this great takes SEGA!!
Anyway, back on topic...
I own both and have put in around 70+ hours on RR6 and about 10 hours on RR7. Each one is a lot of fun with the only difference being RR7 looks a bit nicer graphically (and different tracks obviously). I prefer RR6 overall mainly because of the superiority (IMO) of the 360 controller.

Yeah PS3 games do look better for the most part, but its not a huge difference. I love both systems equally, and even play my 360 more, due to its bigger library at the time being. But once developers start taping into the PS3, then the games should look much better than those on the 360.
