Perhaps he purchased it publicly to show that he's going to "research" the in-game content first-hand.
That or he's gone SO far over the edge of being an ANTI-GAMER that he actually came around full cirlce and now he's a "Hardcore 1337 G4MR"!

There is no way Adolph Thompson would willingly buy GTA4. I'll bet he had his son buy it, so he could try and sue the person and store that did.
Yeah, I watched the GT interviews with him. His son owns some military video games and Jack plays the violent games to see just how violent they are.
