    Default Selling Final Fantasy 7

    Hey guys,

A friend of mine wants to buy off me my copy of Final Fantasy 7 for Playstation, it's in good condition, not a greatest hits one, but the only thing is the instruction manual is a internet printed copy, but it's in good condition

what i wondering is, should I sell it to him or hold onto it? if I should sell it too him, how much should I sell it for?

Truthfully, selling should be up to you. Everyone has their own ethics to buying and selling. What I see that needs to be considered are:
    1) Did you really enjoy the game? Is it something with replay value?
    2) How much did I buy it for, how much is it really worth, and how much is current demand?

If you don't really care for the game then obviously you should continue to #2. If the current resellable value is lower than you paid then is it worth the loss to get rid of it now? Game values fluctuate and right now FF7 is still on the high end. So for this case if you have been wanting to get rid of it, sell now.

Now, since this is a friend then think about your relationship with them. Several years ago I received FF7 from a friend free when he changed to the Dreamcast. I haven't gotten rid of it and more likely won't unless he wants it back at some point to play or whatever. Not being aware of how generous you're looking to be either let them borrow it, give it free (they aren't that hard to come by), or give a good discount.

Another consideration is, do you go game hunting often? I say this because this game is not hard to find at all. If you don't mind looking for a bit then you could sell yours now for $60 and pick another up later for $5.

Yeah, it's not rare at all, but now resellers are going to be snatching up any copy of the game that they can find. Same thing happened with Silent Hill, it was dirt common before the movie came out, and now it's harder to find and sells for a lot more.

I enjoyed the game when it originally came out, but I wouldn't pay $50-70 for it that it tends to go for now.

Some guy I think in the Seattle Craigslist is offering a GH type for a low price of $200 or so.

Good condition FF7 goes for about $60, but without the manual you could get $50 despite the fact the game is very common. If he is your friend you should give him a good deal and charge him $40 or less because you could easily come across another in your travels for less than that.

I think $40-60 would be a nice fair amount to offer it to him for.
