    Default Psikyo Shuts Down!

Oh, the arcades are quickly becoming graveyards.

Now, it seems like Psikyo is closing its doors too. What a terrible day for shooter fans. I only hope that their development team gets picked up and still continues to produce shooters with another company:

I'm gonna miss them. I don't have a lot of the home games developed by Psikyo but I've played all their arcade games.

Heh, I was just posting on this at another board.

Yeah, it's a real loss for folks who appreciate true arcade action. Psikyo may not have been the best, but damn they were good, with so much potential still avaliable.

I'm suprized Capcom hasn't taken an interest in them. Their Strikers series was heavily inspired by 194x and probably inspired Capcom's own 19XX. It would be a good fit, I think.

The shmup market is growing slimmer and slimmer...

This is depressing, though I was under the impression that they'd already thrown in the towel as far as shooters went. What was their last shmup? Zero Gunner 2?

This is truly sad news. They made my favorite shooters. They will definitely be missed.

    Hey guys,

Videogames.com posted a press release from Psikyo today that says it's not closing its doors:

Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.
