Sega CDX Outputs No Sound

My stereo cable for my sega CDX doesn't output any sound on my crt or my hdtv. After hooking up my mono cords on both tvs it gets sound just fine. Is my CDX cord broken or does the cdx not do stereo? The cord i tried using that only gave me visual and no sound has three pins. it's very old so maybe it was suppose to go to another system, that's one problem i think it might have.

Do you get sound out of the headphone jack? As for the A/V cable, maybe it's for a Saturn, IIRC the cables are very similar.

sure it isnt a bad cord? im damned sure the CDX does stereo, i've owned 2 of them. try that cable on a genesis 2 and see what happnes.
