Default Weird problem w/CDX AV output?

Is there something "odd" about the signal from a Sega CDX? I just received a unit I won at auction, everything seems fine, plays well etc. I hooked the composite AV cord up to my Gamebridge in hopes of recording footage but when I startup the software the video is scrambled, as if PAL or something. Worried I hooked directly to my TV AV input, fortunately it was perfect!

Again I tried the gamebridge on my TV, same result but if I plug in the signal from my VCR it's fine! AH HA! I thought to myself, fine I will just plug the AV from the CDX into my VCR 2nd AV input, that should do it! WRONG! The VCR is clear until I select the 2nd input, then it's the same problem with the signal, audio is fine, video rolls and glitches, WTF? Any ideas? Is the signal maybe just slightly "OFF?" if so can I adjust it internally?

Also, what were all the options for output? I see only one AV out jack, is the cable specific or are there other types of cable that can be used (Svideo etc) would it make a difference? THANKS!

My only suggestion would be faulty AV wires. I have a SEGA CDX and it works fine on my TVs and VCR inputs. The SEGA CDX also use the RF cord (or whatever that screw on thing was called) that was used on the Genesis 2. Although the gamebridge won't use that. Other than that, if you have AV cables for the Genesis 2 use those.

Thanks, will look into it, I love this CDX system though!
Funny it's fine on my TV, maybe the TV is more tolerant of a wonky signal?

    I'd say,its a resolution issue....
Genesis related systems have a low 240p native resolution...Maybe, the devices that you are trying to use are not compatible or need to be set in order to work...
Some newer HDTV's have these same issues with the good old Sega systems...
