They have a few other countdowns on there this weekend, as well, but I thought this one was the most interesting.

All quality titles. I just cant see the point trying to arrande them in any order. And if they HAVE to do it, they really shouldnt list games from the same series.

Oh..and The Lost World: Jurassic Park (arcade) really really really kicks ass!

Saw this before. While all these appeared on Sega consoles, they weren't all developed by Sega. I don't consider Gunstar Heroes a Sega game. Kind of weird, there are a ton of awesome titles not mentioned.

A decent list but like most, flawed IMO.

    Sonic 2 as #1....

I would have figured that the list would have populated by games actually developed by Sega, not necessarily those that were developed by another company but published by Sega (Gunstar Heroes, Herzog Zwei) or published by another company and appearing on one of Sega's consoles (Disney's Aladdin).

If we're to accept those rules for the list then there's a few noticeable titles missing that I can think of (along with some actual Sega developed titles not listed)....

Guardian Heroes (Treasure developed but published by Sega)
Dragon Force (Working Designs published but Sega developed)
    Fantasy Zone
Landstalker (developed by Climax, published by Sega)
    Shining Force
    "Ai Oboete Imasu Ka?"

Not the best lis, But not the worst. There are 3 Sonic The Hedgehog games on it. I like all 3 of those games but don't you think one Sonic game is enough for a list?

Good thing they listed NiGHTS, Jet Grind Radio and Crazy Taxi. The list would have been worthless without those three.

I find TJ&E to a boring game. I liked it when I was younger but it is really boring now.

Virtua Tennis 3 doesn't belong on there. It's too new.
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.

Yeah, the original Virtua Tennis would have made more sense. It was amazing when it first came out and blew all other tennis games away. Virtua Tennis 3 looks just like every other tennis game out there now though.

Shinobi III should be replaced with Revenge Of Shinobi. And I don't even know why Aladdin is on this list.

Nope, I love the sequel much more- then again, it was the first TJ&E game I played.

No love for Shining Force either, but at least Streets of Rage II got a nod.

A few years ago I would have agreed with you. I played PoF when I was younger and loved it. Later on when emulation came around I downloaded the original, thinking it WAS PoF. I was really disappointed, and thought the game sucked. Fast forward to two winters ago. There was a blizzard, and my neighbor had TJ+E 1. He told me it was amazing and that we had to play it. I reluctantly agreed. I was blown away. I thought the whole experience was so cool and original. I think playing it solo would probably be a bit dull, but it's got to be one of the best multiplayer experiences I've ever had.

Of course the following week we played and beat PoF (first time for both of us). Such an amazing sequel...

And once again Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Phantasy Star 1 get shafted! Total BS!
