I'd buy it, even though it looks like they're taking out the "micro-management", whatever that means... I honestly don't remember OT having alot of micro-management.

It looks like they're taking out the whole "buy what you'll need" thing and throwing in mini-games and such. I'm not sure why they're acting like the game was anything difficult, but I guess it'll be fun to see what they added to it. Just as long as I can make my horses cross an insanely deep river, relating in a death or two, I'll be happy.

How small would that be on a cell phone. Why can't we get oregon trail on a console download?
I know!
I remember, when you were a little kid, maybe one person you knew beat it?
For the glory of the Lion, and for the Emperor!
Novel at best.
You can play it online at www.virtualapple.org for free. :/
It still doesn't get much better than The Thule Trail.

Agreed. The game's already not challenging; losing "buy what you need" makes it even easier (and stupid). Will there even be different jobs you can choose? There'd be no point to the banker, school teacher, etc.--there'd be no reason
You know, the game would actually work well on the DS. I'd buy it.
EDIT: I wonder if this new version has the massacring Indians, or the helpful, fruit-bearing ones.

I've often thought it was downright criminal that I'm unable to die of dysentery on my cellphone.

I would buy this in a heartbeat. My wife doesnt care much for the newer versions of Oregon Trail 3 & 4, and I never could get the old DOS version to run on a newer PC.

Somehow I don't see this appealing to the youth of today.

You have run out of minutes. All of your favorite 5 have died of dysentery.
