    Smile MAME Noob needs help

Little help please. I just upgraded my old MAME32 to the newest MAME32 (.062) and now several games don't work. For instance when I run DIG-DUG I get 136007.109 as a missing file. I have checked the Digdug.zip and that file is present. I have even gone back to my older MAME32 and the command line version of MAME but no luck. I thought it was my old Rom-set so I got new DVD's (1.25) still no luck. Is MAME broken? Do I have to wait for a update or do I need to just shop around for a working ROM? Any advice as always is greatly appreciated.

You say you got the newest version of MAME32, but that version is terribly outdated. MAME32 development is now kept here, and there's where you can find screenshots and icons for the GUI as well.

If you indeed have the entire .125 romset, the only thing you should need to do is upgrade your MAME32 to the version on that page (.125.2). Then you should be golden.

Whoops I apologise. As I get older my eyes and brain aren't what they used to be. .062 is what I upgraded from. I actually did download from the exact link you specified.

you can try Romcenter and /or Clrmame to test check and perhaps rebuild your romset.

    ... There is no MAME 1.25, there's a 0.125 though.

And MAME DVDs? Did you BUY them?

Sorry you are correct I have MAME 0.125. I used a burning service. I used this one here http://www.geocities.com/dougburton/mame.html
I Know I can get them for free at Romworld or Romnation (in fact I tried their roms for the several games that are broken) but it is easier to just get the DVD's. Again I'm old, lazy and probably going on senile.
