    Default Arcade version of Flicky

Is it just me or is this game pretty hard. I'm trying to play it on my MAME setup but it's a miracle if I can rescue more than 4 birds at a time before getting pounced on by a bloody cat. I looked at the dip switch settings and it already is on easy!

It looks like it could be a great game, maybe I just don't have the right strategy yet, or I just plain suck. Does anyone out there play this game?

I've played it on the computer via SEGA Smash Pack and on gamecube via Mega Collection and both times I found it completable, but hard. Those cats are annoying, but you can hit them or rescue a few birds at a time.
    I have a sig?

I found this game on MAME a few years ago and have been playing it ever since. Usually on my Gensis though which is a near perfect port from my understanding. I can usually get all the birds in one long train through the door on the first 15-18 boards, but after that it's ususally a few here and there to finish. I've gotten to to levels in the high 20's low 30's, but can't remember exactly which one. I'm definately a huge fan of the game!

Random thought: One stage of Gunstar Super Heroes plays like Flicky.

This game has made me hate cats. I need some flowerpots to throw at them.

I play it from time to time. But, it always frustrates the hell out of me and I turn it off.

I played this game to death during university finals, playing between bouts of revision. I can't remember how many levels are, but I did turn the game over. Love the game, it kicks ass - but some of those later levels are really tough. I was kinda disappointed there was no 'real' ending, but oh well. That's old style games for you ..

Yes it does. That was the first "Super ColecoVision" I ever made. There was so much extra wiring and circuitry inside that console it was almost rediculous...almost!

By the by, here's the wiki article for Flicky. It says that there are 48 different levels and then it starts to rerun them faster and harder.

is that orange rca output on the back of the coleco a digital coax audio out? Awesome if it is

Also, I WILL MASTER THIS GAME! I can't live with myself otherwise if I can't clear the first few stages

Yes the orange phono jack is a digital coaxial audio output and the one to it's left is a toslink jack for digital optical audio (fiber optic). I'm pretty much a bad ass.

Flicky definatly kicks ass. I know a bunch of people who say the game sucks and is for "kids" as it is so "cutsey," but I think they just say that either because they've never played it to realize how challenging it is in the upper levels or they just really suck at it.
