that was my first issue and other than a few from 1999 - 2000 (missing maybe 3 or 4 from those years) I have everything after that.

Any attempt at a "full" list of EGM's needs to include EGP as well

These are the only 2 issues I'm aware of though.. and I've never seen the 1st one.

It looks like there are at least four since that second covers is Vol. 1 No. 4. I'll have to do some checking around and see if I can dig up those covers.

edit: I should probably also try to work on issues of EGM2 but I just haven't had the time/chance to do so.

edit2: According to this link there were indeed four issues. Also, a newsletter called Top Score seems to predate even that. However, information seems overall scanty on these early magazines/newletters.

On one of the back pages of EGP vol1 no. 4 (click here for large scan)
there's a pic of what might be the other 2 mags.. but who knows if it really is or not.

If you want the full mag scan, it's here as well: http://rapidshare.com/files/11168543...ronicGP004.zip

I absolutely adore gaming magazines from the late 80's through until the mid-90's. After about 1998 or so, I kinda lost interest. They just got worse and worse because of the internet taking over... I used to get so excited to get a new issue of any gaming magazine back in the 90's as a kid... I used to get so annoyed with the mailman if he came late on a day I though a new issue was coming ... :P And the excitement of opening the mailbox and seeing your new issue in there... Priceless. I miss those days... EGM's are just trash anymore. God from about 1993-1995, EGM's were like 400 pages! Some of them were as thick as Cosmopolitan! :P Awesome stuff... I studied gaming magazines way more than any books from school . All the kids used to bring the new game magazines to class, which pissed the teachers off. Good times.

Well, with the January 2009 issue we say goodbye to EGM. How many more magazines are going to start folding? The only one I'm actually worried about losing is Nintendo Power as that's the only one that I really read alot of.

I don't have it around, but I'm almost certain Nov. 1993 was Sonic CD, not Sonic 3.

The cover just says Sonic the Hedgehog and, since I don't own the issue I can't check out which it is. If you can check at some point that would be awesome.

I feel the same, have every issue of game pro and egm from that era all in pristine shape. I have them lying around the house in certain areas just as conversation pieces. wonder if they'll be worth anything with all the information so readily available on the net...
