Default Sega Saturn RAM Cart Questions

I just picked up a RAM Cart for my Sega Saturn, its the Dragon Force Labeled one. I put it in, and booted to the Memory Manager and it shows system memory, I cleared it, and then booted up Street Fighter Alpha. SFA then comes up and says that the memory must be cleared before it can be used.

My question is, should the CART show up as a seperate item in Memory manager or something? Any rules on using these? It's my first and need some more info I guess.

The backup RAM cart should show up as a separate item in memory, yes. You could try cleaning the contacts on your cart and system. Have you been using an Action Replay or other 3rd-party cart in there?

No, this si the first. The Game reads it, it would seem... but in Memory Manager nothing. Ill clean it otu today and try it again. To be honest I dont use my Saturn a heck of a lot, so using the other stuff is a no.

Make sure that it's securely in there. When making sure that it does show up on the menu, I had to reseat mine. Just make sure the power is off!

    They don't have 'em.

TC, I am assuming that this is an official memory cart, yes? The Dragon Force label is actually just a sticker you can put on. Does it say Sega anywhere on the back?

I don't think that one is an official Sega cart. The board doesn't say "(c) SEGA" anywhere.

Heh, I've not visited this site in months, and I'm finding topics I made/posted in still active. Anyways, I agree that that's probably not an official cart. Both of my Saturn carts have no batteries.

Dragon Warrior Jasen: If you're still reading this, try not seating the cart all the way; lift it up on one side slightly. Sometimes that helps.
