Default PlayStation late releases - buy 1 get 1 free @ Toys R Us...

    Hi folks,

I went on my usual Friday morning run today, and my best find was at Toys R Us. After I picked up Pocky & Rocky with Becky for GBA for $10, I noticed the usual bulk of $10 titles for PS1. There was a sign taped to the bulk that said they were buy one, get one free. I picked up the onesies: Street Racquetball and Turnabout, but they also had Darkstone, Easter Bunny's Big Day, Sea Monkeys, Gubble, and others. Basically, the titles included many of the late releases from Agetec, Conspiracy, and Natsume. I didn't see anything from XS Games. I'm going back on Monday.

Also, the bulk had some PS1 Greatest Hits like Final Fantasy 7 and Tekken 3 and some PS2 games (Herdy Gerdy, Timesplitters, Fur Fighters), so you guys should check out TRU. IMO, you can't beat $5 new for a PS1 game. The sale ends on June 4.

Does anybody know anything about a game called Space Shooter Shot (not sure if that's correct, but it was by Agetec, and it wasn't Sanvein)? Is it any good?
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.

Shooter: Space Shot is the name. It's pretty good, especially for $5. It had a shorter print run that Shooter: Starfighter Sanvein I think. Worth a look if nothing else.

I'll go check out Toys 'R' Us sometime next week. That 2 for 1 sounds pretty sweet.

@samuraix - It's funny because they had loads of copies of Shooter: Space Shot there. Do you know anything about Rageball?

I disagree about Shooter: Space Shot. It's the only home shooter I can recall at the moment that runs at only 30 fps (blah!) and it's about as boring as can be. Not worth the discriminating shooter fan's time.

Thanks for the tip... I ended up getting Jigsaw Madness or whatever the fuck it's called, along with Monster Marbles or something. Weird games... Marbles sucked by Jigsaw was pretty decent.

I had no idea about the sale on Thursday and picked up Marble Master and Street Raquetball for the PS1. When the cashier told me about the sale, I went back and got Metropolismania and Project Eden for the PS2.

We ran across this last weekend when we were looking for a Logitech Driving force wheel for the PS2. I wanted to grab up a bunch, but hubby held me back. I only ended up getting PS2 Fur Fighters: Viggo's Revenge and Way of the Samurai. Haven't had a chance to check them out yet, but I'm hoping to sneak back to Toys R Us tomorrow to pick up some PS1 games.

I went and did some window shopping while I was running an errand, and the local TRU here had two copies of turnabout, and sixteen gazillion copies each of Easter Bunny, Driver, Gubble, Creatures, Tomb Raider (Greatest Hits), a skydiving sim, Rescue Copter, some deer hunting game, Marble Master and Slammin' D-Ball (especially that last one - they had one of those for one of every other individual game on the display!). Turnabout tempted me, and I've already got Gubble and Creatures, and I'm broke, so I left empty-handed. Is Marble Master any good? How 'bout Easter Bunny? I'd like to get Turnabout based on the recommendations I've read here, but what would you fine folks who've tried 'em recommend I get out of the available selection? I'll probably go back in a week, hopefully with money in hand this time.
