    Default Games based on sitcoms

Inspired by the Alf thread. Let's see how many we can think of!

    -Alf (SMS)
    -Home Improvement (SNES)
    -Family Guy Video Game! (PS2)
-That Friends trivia game on PS2

There's one sitcom with a LOT of games that I left out - I didn't want to make this too hard. How many games from that sitcom can you list?

When I first saw Out of This World, I thought it was based on the sitcom. Thankfully, I was wrong.

The only one I can think of is Married With Children, and that got canned.

If you exclude cartoons, there are virtually none.

Did "Maniac Mansion" become a tv show after the game was released, or was it the other way around?

The show came after the game.

    Gilligan's Island on the NES
the series of Addams Family games...or were they all after the movies (Fester's Quest especially I'm unsure of the timing)? I can't remember

a couple more cartoon ones include the Jetsons and Flintstones games.

Don't you mean soap opera? No, wait, that was Another World. Which is the same game again, oddly enough.

Fester's Quest came out far in advance of the movies, but the other games definitely came later.

The Three Stooges counts as a sitcom, doesn't it? Cinemaware's game was popular enough to warrant considerable porting, apparently.

Out of this World was a late 80s sitcom and yes it has a crazy 80s sitcom premise. From what I can remember, it involved a girl that could freeze time with her fingers and Burt Reynolds talking out of a glowing box. According to IMDB, it somehow lasted 4 seasons.

The A-Team! Weird, I just remade CJ into Mr. T last night. I pity the fool who don't understand the situational comedy inherit in Mr. T's pteromerhanophobia.

    Hilarious! I remember that show!

If we count prime time cartoon shows, there was Family Dog for the SNES.

And Phil of the Future, for that matter.

What about sitcoms that SHOULD have games? I want me some Fresh Prince for Genesis.
