Default Quick Super famicom question (re: power supply)

I have a Super Famicom system (Japanese). I do NOT have a Power Supply for it. However, I do have an extra NES Power supply, and it DOES it into the Super Famicom power supply spot. Will this work before I turn on my system??

Again, this is not a SNES Power supply, but a NES Power supply. Will it damage my Super Famicom?? Someone plz respond before I get too curious and try it myself.

    Thanks.

    Dan

PS - I also have a spare SNES Power Supply somewhere, but cannot currently find that. I will definately find it if someone can CONFIRM that a SNES Power Supply will work on a Super Famicom. Thanks.

Ok, I just searched an older thread.
Apparently, the NES AC Adapter will work fine on my Japanses Super Famicom.

Now... to see if that info was correct....

What this person said! Though actually when I got my Super Famicom and tried to use my NES adapter, nothing bad become of it, it just wouldn't work. I've used my Genesis Mk2 adapter for the SFC and my PC Engine just fine though.

How on earth where you able to do that? The Genesis 2 PSU doesn't fit either of those systems.
