    Default SMS repair help?

I have a SMS and 3 controllers and the " I " button on all of them does not work? Could this be a soldering problem inside the console or bad controllers? All other functions on the controllers work fine.Any advice or web site reference would be great. x_x

Well, if your controllers truly have an "A" button as you say, then they aren't SMS controllers. SMS pads have Buttons 1 & 2.

SMS buttons are 1 and 2, just like the TG-16 pads.. also, they use 9-pin connectors... so a TG-16 pad would not fit in a SMS controller port at all.

Oh you're right, I'd read the original post incorrectly. I thought he had buttons I and II. Duh... though I know about the 9pin connectors.

I guess you could always try opening it up and touching up the solder around the controller ports. Lots of people have SMS problems relating to cracked solder points.
