Default Dance Dance Revolution for XBox!?

On page 21 of the new issue of GMR (issue 5), it says that Dance Dance Revolution will be coming to the XBox.

"Not simply a port of previous mixes, the new DDR will possess features designed specifically for the Microsoft console, including new, never-before-seen modes and the possibility of a new an enhanced official dance pad..."

It also states that Konami is thinking about adding online options, "...which may include downloadable steps, additional characters, and even new songs and remixes."

It sounds awesome, but I had never heard anything about this before I read this issue. Does anyone else know anything about it?

Hey, could someone scan the screenshot that's in the mag? The only other one I've seen was a super blurry digital cam snap. There are a few things I need to see...

If DDR Xbox included the ability to design step patterns for songs you've ripped onto the Xbox hard drive, or had an AI routine to generate step patterns based on a ripped song's bassline and/or melody -- well, it would be fucking perfect, wouldn't it? Probably won't happen, of course, simply because you'd never need to buy another DDR.

If DDR actually comes to the Xbox, then it should be a DDR greatest hits. Seeing as though Xbox DVDs can be dual layered.

It's actually coming to the Xbox, as Konami announced at E3: http://www.konami.com/ddrxbox/

Is there a PS2-to-Xbox controller adapter out there, so I can use my PS2 pad with Ultramix? If not, I wonder if Konami's gonna make one available. I need to call and harass 'em for info...

Yeah I thought that Konami was going to release a pad for the Xbox. I'm not too sure though. :/

Oh, I'm sure Konami will release an Xbox pad, but I'd rather keep on keeping on with my PS2 pad, a RedOctane Ignition Pad strapped to a plank of wood. Hence my wish for an adapter, something like the PlayCube PS2-to-GCN doohickey.

There is, it's called the XJoy Box or something. I've got one and it works great. I used it for all my PS2 racers until the S controller came out.

Sweet. Thanks for the info! Who's the manufacturer, out of curiosity?
