    Default PSN Summer Sale 7/24 - 7/31

For one week only, purchase PAIN, PixelJunk Monsters, High Velocity Bowling, High Stakes on the Vegas Strip: Poker Edition, or Rocketmen: Axis of Evil for only $4.99 on the PSN.

While I don't have any kind words for Rocketmen ...

Pixeljunk Monsters, PAIN, High Velocity Bowling and High Stakes Poker are all WELL worth $5 each, with my highest marks going to High Velocity Bowling and Pixeljunk Monsters.

Additionally, both High Stakes Poker and Pixeljunk Monsters can be played on a PSP that you have connected to your high-speed internet connected PS3 in remote-play mode from any wi-fi access point in the world.

Thanks for the info I really wish we had PSN cards here in canada though, it sucks cause I can't get them and they are to expensive on ebay IMO.

As far as I know, pre-paid Visa gift cards work fine on PSN, all you need to do is call the registration number on the card and assign it a billing name and address like a regular credit card would have for the purposes of internet purchases that verify that info.

Thanks for the heads-up. I picked up High Velocity Bowling an High Stakes Poker. I haven't played much Poker yet, but Bowling's pretty fun - a nice alternative to Wii Sports bowling.

I love High Velocity Bowling, one of the most under-rated releases on the PS3, and probably the best bowling game I've ever played ... I only wish it had online play.

There's probably no reason for them to reduce the price on it. I don't have any sales figues handy but it always seemed to be one of the better selling PSN games, and probably even more so now that it has the trophy stuff added.

It's worth $10 though if you like shooters, really fun game. Though to get all of the gameplay modes you do have to buy a couple of add-on packs.

I would love to get it and $10 is really cheap for such a fun game. However with a baby on the way I could easily justify $5 (pocket change) to my pregnant wife whereas $10 is sounding like too much for something useless to her and the baby haha.
