    Default Severe sticker residue

I bought a Game Gear from a guy a few weeks back. Well, he had lost the battery covers and so covered them with electrical tape. So that electrical tape was covering the battery slots for several years, possibly longer. I took the tape off and it is covered with residue. I have been applying Goo Gone on and off since I bought it, but no progress has been made in removing the residue. Any advice? Maybe a Magic Eraser?

this WILL remove that gunk probably on the first try, unfortunatly it MAY take some (or all!) of the black finish off as well. oh and wear some cheap rubber gloves this stuff can make your hands a bit raw. http://www.uclean.com/catalog/produc...r_cleaner.html

Try using a hair dryer and heating up the residue. Then use the pad of your thumb or finger to roll it off. You might have a big fat blister when you're finished but you're Game Gear will love you.

At work where I remanufacture HP Deskjet/Officejet/Photosmart printers, we remove every crap with something called Plastic Cleaner.. I think it's called Plastik Clean or something like that. It comes in a metal can with a white cap.
