    Question Easiest RPG to Beat?

    Inspired by this thread:
    http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120428

So THERE'S a bunch of RPG's I WON'T play. For those who like a good story and solid gameplay without having to tear their hair out over the course of some 20-80 hours, what would you consider the EASIEST RPG you've ever beaten?

Try to keep this limited to decent games. No "You Have To Burn The Rope" entries are needed here

By far? Final Fantasy Mystic Quest on the SNES. It was intended to be an entry level RPG from the start. It's got a very simplistic battle system, there are no random encounters (all enemies are visible on the map), and there's even battle grounds where you can clear out all monsters to gain XP and win special items.

This was my first RPG, and if I hadn't played it I wouldn't have tried out other similar games. It introduced me to the core gamestyle most console RPGs had back in those days.

The story isn't very inspired, and it's obviously been kiddifed. You might not like it, but I loved it fifteen years ago.

    Cadash for the Turbo Grafx.

Great side-scrolling action/RPG. My suggestion is go with the priest, the chained mace and protection spells will make the experience must faster.

With the TurboTap and a willing companion, you can play two players on it and make the experience more Dungeon's & Dragon's feel to it.

I found Super Mario RPG to be fairly easy, and I'm not much of an RPG player.

With that said SM:RPG is one of my very favorite SNES games.

Rhapsody for PS1. SRPG designed for preteen girls with a difficulty curve to match. If you manage to die at any point in the game, it's because you wanted to and you just really wanted to see if it was even possible to lose a fight.

I'll second FF Mystic Quest. It's definitely aimed at a younger audience, but still very enjoyable IMO.

Exile for the TurboGrafx-Cd. I can beat the game in less than 4 hours. Still is a good game though.

haha you guys are all silly, Quest 64 is by far the easiest game out there.

in fact, you can beat the game without fighting... at all. (i THINK you still might have to do the boss battles). just keep runnign past them!

Ditto. Also my first turn-based RPG I played and completed. I probably lost only once or twice. Very easy game.

Yeah, I beat Final Fantasy MQ.

Legend of Legaia isn't really that much harder, though. At least I don't remember it being so - although I know I had to start areas over a number of times due to team death.

    Aren't you supposed to be able to do this in Fallout and Elder Scrolls titles? (;

Exile was easy peasy if you did a little grinding, otherwise the boss battles could trip you up. Still a pretty darn fun game, though.

Add my vote to FF Mystic Quest. Another one that I found to be very easy was Guardian Crusade for the PS1. I am not the best RPG player out there, (far from it, in fact), and I had no problem with it. I don't remember if I died or not, but I know that I didn't need any hints or anything. Based on my skill level, I wish that there were more "confidence builders" like these.

yes, but it was part of the design in those games... this game is just... simple and dumb. it is really a dumbed down version of FF:MQ for its time.

Ok, that's it. Quest 64 is the next game in the gaming queue. I have to see this for myself.

There are 31,562 games more worthy of your time.

It's easy but it also sucks. Life is short. Play something good.
