Default Some of my recent repro carts

I've been on a major repro building kick for the last few weeks, thought i'd share some pics.

    NES Labyrinth (English Translation) (PAL)
One of my favourite films, had to have the game on cartridge

    NES Splatterhouse (English Translation) (PAL)
Thanks to MottZilla'a amazing MMC-3 hack i can now play this on a real NES

SNES Sanrio World Smash Ball (English Translation) (PAL)
One of the most fun and addictive SFC games i've played

SNES Dragon Ball Z Hyper Dimension (English Translation) (PAL)
This is the translation of the Japanese version, not the crummy French release that's missing the story mode. The first SA-1 board repro i've built.

SNES Star Ocean (English Translation) (NTSC US)
Built for a fellow DP forum member. Was really impressed by the game, am planning on building one for myself now

SNES Little Magic (English Translation) (NTSC US)
Again, built for a DP forum member. Simple puzzle style game, but incredibley addictive.

I'm always available for custom work if anybody needs anything built (repro's, homebrew manufacture, console mods, hardware design, etc). I'm based in the UK but can happily deal with PAL or NTSC carts and consoles.

[strike]Why'd you replace only one of the roms for star ocean? Where you still working on it?[/strike]

Nevermind that question, I never noticed that the last two megs of the J and translated are exactly the same! So you only need to replace the one... So you just put the first 4 megs on the flash chip, correct?

Yes, the translation patch doesn't affect the code on the second chip so it can be left as it is.

    Kind Regards, Andy.

Hi I just checked out your thread and I have to tell you that I have been blown away by the creativity of it. I'm interested in these games let me know what the cost are:

    Secret of Mana 2
    Star Ocean
    Terranigma
    Bahamut Lagoon
    Tales of Phantasia
    Fire Emblem

And if possible a fully translated Dragon Ball Z Hyperdimension
WOuld like them in US NTSC versions. Are you located in the UK? LMK

Also what snes carts can be used to make the games above, chances are I can get of hold of them easily.

PS: I know you must be overwhelmed with messages because your pm box is full at the moment. Plz pm me with details regarding my request. thanks. Also I have plenty of RPGs maybe we can agree for some type of deal.

I can attest that the star ocean cart works perfectly and without any problems.

How much does the Star Ocean game cost. I beat it on emulator. It's one of my favorite SNES RPG's of all time.

Very excited for this recent guy:

Darxide NTSC repro! A few notes about it:

    - It is in a standard cart shell. The PCB can't fit into a regular 32x shell, so no one can swap the PCB
    - The game DOES NOT play on PAL systems. It can't be passed off as a European game because it won't play on their consoles.
    - The game uses the yellow NTSC color scheme for both its cart shell and clamshell. It doesn't look anywhere near similar to the PAL version.

This was a long time coming, no idea what we're gonna tackle next.

Hi, I am looking to buy a star ocean reproduction cart, I would buy it off retrozone but that blue case does not fit well with my collection, if anyone has any left or is willing to help me out that would be awesome, thanks!

I also ordered a repro for Seiken Densetsu III the other day, very, very eager for that.

I looked for that a lot and did not find one. This isn't a simple task for everybody. Also the information I found is very technical. There are one or two tutorials on how to make a basic repro, but almost no explanation about it. It's simply "remove the mask ROM, solder a new one, rewrite these pins and it's done". You can make a repro, but won't understand what you're doing.

I knew nothing about electronics or eletricity, so I bought a book about it and read it. I also asked a friend for tips.
Bought materials and tools I didn't have, like soldering iron, EPROM programmer and stuff.

I recently made my first repro (a few posts behind), but there is still a lot of things I have to learn. I basically have very few knowledge about digital electronics currently (I learned mostly about analog electroncis). I'm trying to make the ROM tester Kogami made, but it's VERY difficult for me. Been on it for a few months and no success so far.

So, unless you're willing to learn about a lot of basic stuff BEFORE going into repros and also spend money buying everything you'll need, you'll certainly won't be able to make repros. As you probably realised, repro makers generally aren't very helpful.

Nice adapters pootle, I assume that you are refering to an 27c160 when you said "connected as 8 bit", because 27C322 hasn't got a BYTE pin.

    Well, My recent work:

StarWing2 cart (not StarFox2) in english, with the StarWing2 logo in game.

Final Fantasy VI PAL. With title patch and my own pal fix (beacuse if you apply the title patch and the romhacking palfix the game crashes). The game has also the japanese graphics.

Tales of Phantasia using 2x29F032 and the SHVC-BJ3M-10 PCB.

What media do you use for cartridge labels? Does it have a gloss or laminate on it?

I use HP high-gloss photo paper, has a great "sheen" but is fairly suceptable to damage if it's aggressively handeled, and it needs to be glued down.

Here's an example of my work ...
