easy peasy:
use a NBA action 94 cart.
get a 27c160 eprom chip.
apply the region free/save conversion patch.
burn the rom to the chip with the swap byte function.
direct replacement on the solder.
DONE.

Anyone have a label for Chaos World (NES)?
I finally got my hands on a nice repro of Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon: Another Story a while back...it's great to have my favorite SNES RPG on an English cart now. I'll try to find my camera and take a few pictures soon.
I'm trying to do my first repro FC cartridge.
I'm going with Madara as I've heard that it's the easiest.Just got the cart , don't know anything else but I think I know where to look for the info.
I'll post question if I get stuck somewhere in the process.
hmm, while this topic is bumped, i figured i'd ask
I'm wanting to do a repro of the Yu yu hakusho fighting game for Genesis.
the thing is, the rom file is 3 MB, but the eproms only do 1, 2, and 4 MB
would using a 4 MB eprom work, or do i need to pad out the rom file somehow?
considering a few sega carts.. in particular sonic megamix, the wily wars and alien solider, open to any and all recommendations though. also thinking about a copy of nightmare busters for the snes. who can help me out with prices?
let's have a toast for the *******s.
While this topic is still somewhat recent, I have a question:
I want to take one of the BS Zelda Games, specifically the 16 bit version of the original game, the "Third Quest", and put it on a cartridge. I already have the rom that's translated, and I've seen sites that offer burning services, what how can I tell what kind of board it needs?
Also, gamereproductions.com's rom chips work with SNES games, correct?

the BS zelda games are an odd beast, afaik, only one of them will work on real hardware, and it requires you to have patched the game in a specific way.
but, on to your question, open snes9x, and in the menu bar, one of the options will be "rom information" or something like that, and it'll tell you what kind of donor board you'll need. from there, pick another rom, preferably one of a cheap game, and then do the same until you find one that matches in the aspects of HiRom or LoRom, FastRom or SlowRom, and the SRAM size.
Here's what I got:
Speed: 80/SlowROM
Rom Map: HiROM
SRAM Size: 64kb (512kbit)

okay, that's an easy one, my usual donor for that type would be a copy of super play action football, but double check.
as for the game actually working, i'm not sure, haven't made a BS zelda cart before
Got this from Super Play Action Football:
Speed: 20/SlowROM
ROM Map: LoROM
Header ROM Size: 8Mbits
Calculated ROM Size: 8 Mbits
SRAM size: 8KB (64Kbit)
hmm, then no, i guess that's not an acceptable donor, i can't think of a good one off the top of my head.
So I need one that has the same attributes listed above? Anyone have an idea of a game that could be a donor?
I saw that a guy made a repro earlier in the thread, the French guy.

bartre, does the number assigned along with the type of ROM (Fast or Slow) matter?
Also, all attributes have to match? It has to have SlowROM, HiROM, and 64kb of SRAM?
Hi, Im only new to the forums, i was wondering if anyone are able to burn star fox 2 to an eprom as i dont have the equipment to do so, please do pm if if you can help, thank you
Try a website like gamereproductions or hobbyroms.com.
The BS Zelda repro, sadly, is too ambitious. Can't save data. I'll use the stuff learned to make either a Wily Wars or Sailor Moon reproduction.
Any ideas where I can find a Wily Wars label?
I'd say that a Wily Wars cart would be your best option, as when you put the sailor moon RPG on a real cart, the intro gets kind of glitchy.
honestly though, i believe that the two repros everyone needs are Shin Megami Tensei and Clock Tower.
As for the label, try checking thecoverproject for something, i found it on there, or another similar site. just make sure to photoshop the label at 300 DPI
