modifed megadrive and region lock out games

i was thinking of buying a modded sega megadrive

Modified Sega Megadrive main unit features:

Cartridge slot widened to accept games from any region.
50/60H switch
Language switch

will the games pirates-gold and the punisher which are region locked work with this or would i be better getting a US genesis

Get an import convertor instead. That defeats the cartridge size difference between US, Japan and Europe. Better yet, get a Game Genie so that you can get past the region lock installed on certain carts.

They are region locked, so do not work on import convertor, and if there are game genie codes i cant find them thats why i was planning to buy a megadrive with a 50/60 hz switch

sorry should have made clear i am in the uk and the two games listed are us games which have region lock chips and do not work on any adaptor/game genie for the UK megadrive

Get the region mod or, even better, do it yourself! Even when it works, putting in Game Genie codes is tedious.
