Any info on the Xbox 360 "Jasper" release? (First week of September?)

"Jasper" is the new 360 with the 65nm GPU. All I can find are old news articles saying that they will be released in 8/08, but they don't say if that's when the chips will be finished, or when the consoles will actually be on the shelves. Anyone know if they're out yet, or not, or postponed?

And now I find out Microsoft is also planning 45nm processors for next year.

i thought it was going to be 45, not 65, i thought the 65's been out already

The CPU is already 65nm, the GPU is still 90. The 45s come out next year.

According to this blog by a guy with supposed insider tips, the Jasper 360s might ship the first week of September.

I'm hoping for a redesigned slim model when the 45nm's hit next year. If not I won't be sad I never owned a 360. Though I do want Duke3d on the xbla (and maybe Ace Combat and Forza).

Well, the Jasper will be the 360 I finally get. Been waiting for this hardware revision for a while now and I'm planning on taking vacation time in october to play it all week with a friend. Hope I can track one down by then. The 360 has so many games I'm looking forward to playing.

I was doing some web scouring last week and I haven't heard anything concrete on ship dates. I saw a couple people say 8/22/08, but that might have been from the same source. I imagine a manufacture date of 8/08 or the lot number should indicate which version you have.
