It's about time we had a Price Is Right game. It's pretty cool that Bob Barker's going to be in it too. However, I have a feeling that it's going to be Jeopardy! on the NES bad. Here's hoping I'm wrong.

well it's about time! we got Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, and Jeopardy way back in the days of 16BIT, but we never got TPIR... I wish they'd make it for all the old systems too... I personally could've lived without Jeopardy instead of this!

Not to piss on any one's barbecue - and I'm a HUGE game show fan - but this has disaster written all over it. Hear me out:

Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and other game shows based on trivia or word games translate pretty well to videogaming. After all, trivia questions/answers and the way words are spelled never change over the years. But a game show based on the the prices of various objects is gonna be outdated REAL fast. I have a collection of board games based on TV game shows. I have Price is Right in fact....from 1978.

Quick, what's the average retail price of a brand new Ford? Yup....$6,999.
All expences paid trip to Trip to Hawaii? $1,999.
How about a washer/dryer combo? $299.
Bottle of shampoo? 88 cents.

And since most of the games are obviously based on guessing/estimating prices, this game will be sorely out of date in about a year's time.

The game may be OK, but the actual show has tanked BIG TIME. Drew Carey seems like he doesn't even want to be there half the time.
