Default Powering the arcade Room of Doom

I'm still a ways off from living in my own place with a dedicated arcade room. When several units are left on for a good amount of time it can jack up your power bill. Now, it's not too feasible to run your entire house off solar power, but how about an arcade room? I'm thinking about investigating this idea, and while arcade units are off it'll pump some juice into the house to cut down on some of the costs there. Has anyone on here explored this before? I doubt everyone will say no.

I actually did a small high school science project where I tried to convert my entire room to solar power, but I couldn't figure it all out, especially how to pump to the entire house when nothing in the room was on.

However, I did get my entertainment system (games, stereo, tv etc) and computer running off of solar, and it took a chunk out of the power bill. I think if you research it enough you can pull it off.

It's a great idea if you can get it to work. It shouldn't be to difficult but large solar panels are rather expensive.

Some info that might help you:

Yeah, solar panels can become very expensive. It may be a valuable asset through if used on a smaller scale of say a room or two. It'll be awhile before really efficient and cheaply available panels will come around. Mainly kicking the idea around and seeing if others on the DP forums operate with solar or other sources of power to keep costs down on their gaming rooms.
