Started off the month rather well.

At the flea market I found

Disk Only Intelligent Qube PS1-$2: It was basically the first table I looked at when I walked in and I already found the deal of the day

Complete Secret of Monkey Island and disk only Shining Force CD- both for $50. Not quite the deal I got on the IQube but he originally wanted $65 for both but was able to talk him down to the 50.

Edit: oh and at the same flea market, my brother had some vendor get upset with him because he tried offering him $10 for something marked $15. I don't really think that is unreasonable, and in most cases when somebody offers a price like that then they'd usually counter with a $13 price or something. I just never saw something like that, usually they calmly say "no I can't do it for that." I'm sure its more common than I think it would be thoguh.

My first find of the month:

    - Super Mario Kart (Super NES. Loose): Free

(I've been wanting a copy, and one of my sister's friends just gave his old copy to me. Very nice...)

I got Fable for Windows for a buck today. It's complete, but the weekend rains damaged the outer case and manual.

Anyone got a spare? *hits GameTZ*

Picked up an orange Stunner (Saturn gun) for 2.99 at goodwill today. First time I tried it the start button worked, and the system would recognize a trigger pull but it wouldn't register a shot. Had to clean the connector where it plugs into the console, works great now.

Been a while since I've had any Gamecube Goodness. I actually was 2nd to reply to this CL ad, but turns out the guy didn't show to pick it up last night, so I got a crack at it today. When I picked it up, she said 1st guy emailed to say he forgot!

Not too shabby for $75. Too bad Gamecube consoles are practically worthless, though this one does have the component jack.

Very good find, I'd have picked that up in a second. Not so much because some of the games are worth decent coin but because most of the games are GOOD ones!

Those two Pikmin games would easily sell for $75 together on ebay. I think gamestop gives $10-15 for the console and another $15 or so for Super Smash Bros. Good deal.

Went to a pawn shop that I've only been to twice since moving to Alaska (Their prices are terrible but I was looking for a specific dvd set used) and right when I was about to leave a lady asked about selling some games and movies they said they don't give much on most games or movies but she could bring them in. So I followed her outside and asked if I could see them first.

So I got all these from her for $12 (all complete and as mint as mint can be)

    Mega Man Legends 2 (ps1)
    Breath of Fire 4 (ps1)
Kingdom under fire: the crusaders (xbox)
    Metal Gear Solid 2 (xbox)
    Hitman 2 (xbox)
    Sonic Mega Collection Plus (ps2)

She said these were rummage sale left over, I wish I knew what other playstation games were at the rummage sale and why I had to work and miss rummaging this past weekend.

    Jungle Book (Complete) - $1
    Lion King (Sealed) - $1
    Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (Complete) - $1

I actually saw these games at the Salvation Army about 2 weeks ago but decided to pass and wait to get whatever survived till 50% off green tags came up. Gone today was another new copy of Lion King & Jungle Book along with a complete copy of some tank game & Deep Duck Trouble Starring Donald Duck (which I wouldn't have mind getting complete and probably should have grabbed at $2)

Why is it that I find so many gamegear sonic 2s sealed with a 2.00 price tag on them?

Just reminds me of how much I love the Gamecube. What the heck is Super Monkey Ball Adventure though? Never heard of it....

Yeah, for as much hate as the Gamecube gets, it really does have some great games. Maybe that's the crux of the 'Nintendo debate', though. Hate for the hardware on one side, love for the games on the other.

Super Monkey Ball Adventure is a new one on me, too. A brief read about it says that it is more of a platformer, rather than a puzzler like the others in the series. Mini-puzzles are still incorporated, though. Sounds pretty cool, I'll have to give it a go sometime.

This is probably a stupid comment but I had no idea that they released Zelda OoT on the Gamecube. What is a special edition or big release?

Hm, that is interesting. I didn't know OOT was a standalone release.

    geneshifter, I believe it was a promotional only item for pre-ordering Wind Waker. At least, that's how I got mine if I remember correctly ;

Is it the Master Quest one? I remember seeing plenty of those on the shelves at GameStop.

That's what I was thinking, but wasn't MQ its own game? I thought MQ was all the Zeldas on 1 or 2 GC discs.
