Default [SOLVED] Famicom AV mod sounds great, but results in picture "scrolling"

I just finished my AV mod for the original HVC-001 Famicom, and was met with awesome stereo sound.

However, the composite video output was not so wonderful: In Final Fantasy II, the text which should be white is black, and there is a great deal of noise and "scrolling" screen trouble on the worldmap. It looks horrid.

I followed the instructions at Famicom World, but ran ALL of the cables which connect into the circuit board/output jacks out the back of the famicom and into an external project enclosure. This was to avoid drilling holes in the thing.

Any suggestions? I can provide any other information as necessary.

Also, just noticed that the controller keymappings are kinda off now, but I don't think they were before. I re-soldered all of the connections to ensure proper contact.

    Assistance, please?

Fixed the controller problem, just some solder that got flung into the pins. But the video thing still looks crappy...

Fixed it... I apparently had the "B" and "C" pins switched. It works *better* now, but not great.

Currently, my problem is that there is excessive screen weirdness when there's a lot of "white" onscreen; an example is SMB2j, level 4-3, where it's mostly that light-blue-sky-color. The screen simply explodes. Any ideas there?

Ah, there! Fixed that by running the video through the VCR instead of straight into the TV... not enough resistance, perhaps? Either way, it works now through the VCR.

The only remaining issue is the infamous "vertical lines after AV mod" problem. I've seen others post about it, but not sure there is an actual solution
