Default FS: Import Saturn, Sealed PS2 Yakuza, Famicom, NES Prototype, Anime, TONS MORE STUFF!

    UPDATED 10/31/08 4:47pm (PST)

    RED = PENDING
    GREEN = SOLD

Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by. Here are some games and game items I'm willing to part with at this time. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to what I'll take for anything. Most of this stuff is spare extras or things I came across when moving recently. I may list more but for the time being this is it. Yes, there are some non game items here but again, most of it is left overs / stuff found that's not wanted after moving recently.

I'm getting desperate, any and all offers will be considered (but not all will be accepted). Wanna lowball me? Go for it! You might just walk away with a great deal. If you're serious and will pay promptly - then of course I'll take a reduced price!

    Easy Rules:

    1) PM me with offers or post in the thread. I am willing to accept offers on any item listed below and would gladly cut you a price break if you would like to pick up multiple items. In other words prices aren't set in stone.
    2) Shipping will be determined based upon size / weight of items being shipped. I will not overcharge you for shipping or charge for packaging means however I'm not going to cut corners at the risk of damaging an item in transit. Everything ships USPS Priority Mail or USPS Parcel Post unless the buyer specifies something else. Everything ships no later than 72 hours after your payment arrives.
    3) All prices are in US dollars and at this time I can only accept payment in the form of MONEY ORDER drawn in US funds.
    4) I would like to keep all shipping within the lower 48 United States due to high shipping costs otherwise. I'm no longer shipping items to Canada, sorry but it's simply too much of a problem these days.
    5) I reserve the right to refuse to do business with certain parties at my discretion.

If you need more / better / specific pictures of anything just PM me. If you want higher resolution pictures of something and are seriously interested just let me know.

I've been building up excellent feedback in the DP Buying / Selling forum, you can view my Buying / Selling thread feedback below...

Click here to view my DP Buying / Selling feedback.

I have over 250 positive feedback (both buying and selling) on eBay, you can view my eBay feedback profile below...

Thanks again for taking a look!

PLEASE MAKE OFFERS ON ANY ITEM!!

Most of this stuff isn't doing me any good so go ahead and make any offer on any item - you never know!

PLEASE POST IN THE THREAD IF YOU SEND ME A PM! "PM Sent" is fine, I really appreciate it when my thread is bumped by someone other than me! It's the proper thing to do.

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    Sony PlayStation 2

PS2 - Yakuza (new and factory sealed). These are brand new old store stock that were removed from the shipping carton by myself personally. Not much else to say. I want $18.00 each, shipped in a water resistant bubble envelope. A truly awesome game that not enough people had the chance to play. If you liked Shenmue or River City Ransom, this is your type of game.

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    Nintendo Famicom

FC - A small assortment of loose Famicom cartridges that I no longer need. They are all official releases, no pirates. I don't expect much but if you're looking to expand or start your Famicom collection this would be a good chance to pick up a couple titles. A bubble mailer will more or less be how these are shipped unless you're buying something else as well, in that case they'd be tossed in the same box. Condition is noted next to each, prices are without shipping, which would be a couple bucks more. The listed prices are low to begin with but as always I'm open to offers.

FC - Abadox, excellent condition with both labels attached. ($4.00)

FC - Super Chinese, excellent condition, missing edge label. Released in the US as Kung Fu Heroes. ($5.00)

FC- Hydlide Special, excellent condition with both labels attached. Released in the USA as Hydlide. ($4.00)

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    Sega Saturn

SAT - Sega Saturn Japanese import games, complete as listed but no spinecards unless stated. These are all out of my personal collection and are in excellent shape. Prices are estimates, please make offers for more or less. You Saturn MUST be able to play Japanese region games for these to work, either via a hardmod or a region cartridge (PAR 4-in-1, ST Key, etc.).

SAT - Magic Knight Rayearth, in perfect condition. Yes this game got a USA release but it had some bigtime reworks in the audio department. See, in the original there's a LOT more speech, nearly everyone talks - I wish Working Designs would have stuck to their original plan of dubbing all the dialogue. Alas, you can still play it as it was meant with the Japanese version, the music is also far better. Since the game is an action platformer with walkthroughs-a-plenty online, you should be able to get through it with limited or no knowledge of Japanese. ($20.00)

SAT - Suikoenbu Outlaws of the Lost Dynasty, in perfect condition. Old school fighting game that zooms in and out similar to the Art of Fighting series. If you like the older SNK games you'll more than likely enjoy this, it has a unique style and some good animation. No knowledge of Japanese is required for play. ($10.00)

SAT - Vampire Hunter: Darkstalkers Revenge, in perfect condition with spinecard. Classic entry into the classic series based around old movie and sci-fi monsters. Since this is the Japanese version it uses the correct names for characters. Sure it's not all that hard to find these days but it's a solid fighter that should be played on the Saturn over any other system. No knowledge of Japanese is required for play. ($20.00)

Or take the whole above lot for $30.00 shipped!

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

SAT - NiGHTS into Dreams... bundle version. This is the full version of the game, not a demo. It's from the pack-in bundle with the 3D controller, which is why it's in a standard jewel case. It's complete as this release goes but is the game only (no 3D controller or 3D controller / NiGHTS box). The front of the case has some scratches and cracks but is overall in good condition and it's just a standard jewel case anyway. The disc has a Wherehouse disc sticker on it. Can these be removed? - Yes. Will I attempt to remove it for you? - No. Aside from the sticker the disc is in excellent condition and plays perfectly. ($15.00)

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    Nintendo Entertainment System

NES - Caesar's Palace NES prototype cartridge. Yes, this is an authentic NES prototype of the game Caesar's Palace. I acquired it a few years ago from a dealer at a flea market. If it's any consolation I believe it was from the same people I got my HeartBeat Personal Trainer (long since sold) from later on. In other words they had some extreme rares up the ass. It's fairly close to the finished retail version and contains the complete game with a few differences. I never was really able to sit down and give the game a thorough comparison play against the retail version as I intended. However in the time I have played it and compared I did notice some things that were different...

Most obvious is a color difference in the lobby, the golds of the retail version are purple in the prototype.
The "Caesars Palace" text on the pause screen is left justified rather than centered as in the retail version.
When you cash out and leave the casino the little musical tune that plays in the background is absent, however the tune when you leave broke is still in place. Both events in the retail version have music.
The slot machine odds seem to be much better in the prototype, at least for me, all machines seem to pay out more frequently and higher combinations when they do hit.

I'm sure there are more things that are different that can be discovered with a proper investigation, here are some pictures...

Again, this has to be a near release version as the entire game is there and works, it's just not polished and has some variations from the retail version. The EPROM was exposed when I acquired the cartridge so I placed some thick tape over the window, there was no version sticker in place. This prototype has not been dumped. I'm not looking for much, $90.00 shipped insured Priority Mail takes it or again, please make an offer.

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

NES - Assorted NES games. These are simply duplicates.

NES - Metroid (loose, excellent mint condition) ($15.00)
NES - Duck Hunt (boxed complete, usual wear to the box and a couple folds on the booklet, back of cartridge has some sharpie writing on it) ($10.00)

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

NES - Gyromite cartridges featuring offical Nintendo Famicom to NES converter boards and connectors. The reason most of you are probably here. These are the famed and often searched for early release NES cartridges that feature Famicom to NES converters inside. As described at my site these contain a Famicom Robot Gyro board, a 60 pin Famicom passthrough, and a 60 pin Famicom to 72 pin NES converter board. These can be used to allow play of JPN Famicom cartridges on a standard USA NES system.

Want to try your hand at building a standalone converter cartridge? How about simply having one of these to round out a collection? Ever wanted to crack open a couple Famicom cartridges and make some custom conversion NES cartridges for games like The Goonies? All these are great things to do with these cartridges, there are great examples on these very forums - my favorite being to put a pirate Famicom multicart into one and make a professional looking label - instant NES custom multicart conversion. I've found these in a few different cartridges over the years but the ones I have up for sale are all Gyromites. Remember, not all Gyromite or early release NES cartridges feature these, in fact few do. After years of studying the differences between these and normal cartridges I've figured out ways to tell them apart without opening them. Remember these contain 100% authentic Nintendo parts for 100% compatibility and reliability.

The catridges have been fully cleaned and tested and are ready for whatever type of modification you may see fit. I'm looking for around $30.00 per cartridge, that includes shipping in a bubble mailer. I have three, and these are my last of them. If they don't sell I'll happily keep them and make multicart conversions out of them. ONLY ONE LEFT!!

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    Atari VCS / Atari 2600

VCS - Video Game Brain cartridge selection accessory for the Atari VCS / Atari 2600 complete in box. This is a device that plugs into the Atari cartridge slot and allows up to six cartridges to be plugged in at once and switched between. It's basically six Atari cartridge slots in a box that interfaces with the system. Each cartridge is selected via a pushbutton. These are cool for competitions where you want all the games that are going to be played out for display and also to ensure that no one tampers with the catridges. Let's be honest though, the true collectors are who are after these as not many were made. It is totally complete with the original box, the original foam inserts, both original bags, the original instruction booklet, original warranty card and of course the unit itself. Condition is incredible as pictured and works perfectly. The box has minor wear and a couple price stickers, vintage Kmart. In my years of collecting I've never seen another one of these (yes, I know it was a retail product), especially one boxed and complete. I wouldn't get rid of it but again, I need the money. I want $50.00, which is in line with the DP guide price since the listing there is for a loose one. You don't see the odd accessories like this often. Cartridges not included, odd mix I know but it's what I had close by at the time.

FIRST POST CONTINUES HERE (SECOND PART)

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    Nintendo Wii

WII - Wii Play complete in box with Wii Remote. This is a full boxed copy of Wii Play complete with a Wii Remote controller. The box has some sharpie writing on it and a tear on the back. Everything inside is mint. The copy of the Wii Play game is factory sealed, the Wii Remote has been used for less than 10 hours and is perfect, even the original batteries are included and are sealed. I bought this as a thrid controller to use a few times for playing Smarty Pants on my parent's Wii (I don't own one myself), and that's it. I want about $30.00 for it, open to offers of course.

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    VHS / DVD

Extra DVD's and a few VHS tapes I'd like to get rid of. Condition on everything is excellent with details for each title below. Open to offers on all of these, take them all for an even better deal!

Robotech Legacy Collection box 4 (Masters 1) original release

Terrestrial Defense Corp Dai-Guard volume 1 (dub/sub hybrid)

Terrestrial Defense Corp Dai-Guard volume 2 (dub/sub hybrid)

Marriage OVA (dub/sub hybrid - sucker is hard to find)

Macross II Lovers Again (subtitled, complete series, "Asia Release" grey market bootleg - interesting in that it uses the video and subtitle source from the official release, although it spreads it across two discs and the menus are actually from Macross Plus)

Macross Plus The Movie (VHS, subtitled)

Tenchi Muyo in Love (VHS, subtitled, this was the big expensive deluxe THX last release before moving to DVD - does not contain original pack-in posters)

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (widescreen and full screen hybrid)

    Resident Evil (widescreen)

    Rat Race (widescreen)

    Spider-Man (widescreen)

    X-Men (widescreen)

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    Sega Master System

SMS - Sega Master System in original box with all accessories and documentation. This is my personal Sega Master System I've had for over ten years, purchasing it from a large reseller that was once local to me. It is one of the earlier Master System sets and I'll be honest in that the box does have the expected ware. It has been repaired with packing tape around the bottom and corners as well as here and there - I received it in this state. The internal styrofoam is there for the most part and all the included components are original Sega Parts. It also includes a mint and complete copy of the HangOn / Safari Hunt combo cartridge. One of the control pads appears to have at one time had the little mini joystick drilled out of it. The control pad still works 100% and plays fine, just pointing everything out. The system includes...

Sega Master System Power Base (boxed with styrofoam insert)
Sega Master System Control Pad (x2, side cable version)
    Sega Master System Light Phaser
    Sega Master System RF Box
Sega Master System AV Cable (also works with the Genesis 1)
    Sega Master System Power Adapter
Documentation for the Power Base, Light Phaser, Sports Pad (never owned one), and the parts order form
HangOn & Safari Hunt Combo Cartridge (complete with all documentation)

What you see is what you get with this one as well. I don't see too many boxed Master Systems these days. I want $70.00 + shipping for the system but am open to offers, just shoot me a PM. How this is going to be shipped: it's big and heavy so I will internally pad the components in the box and then wrap the box with kraft paper (same as paper grocery bags) and enforce the corners with sealing tape. Then the wrapped box will be shipped. If you would rather have it boxed in a larger box then be prepared to pay for the box and the additional shipping due to size. Local pickup in the San Jose area is fine as well.

    PC Games

PC - The LucasArts Archives Volume 1, complete in good condition. No need for a huge description, you either know what this is or you don't. The LucasArts adventure games are some of the best and most fondly remembered and a few years after the original releases, LucasArts rereleased many of their titles in bundles. This is the first of those bundles and also the best of them in my and many other's opinion. It contains six discs which feature three full games, two demo discs, and one multimedia disc...

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (256 color talkie version with full speech) - considered one of the best adventure games of all time (and also considered one of the greatest Indiana Jones stories, rivaling the original films), you play as Indiana Jones in classic archeology questing, Nazi bashing, Indy adventure. This is the full color, full voice version that is very much sought after.

Day of the Tentacle (256 color talkie version with full speech) - the sequel to Maniac Mansion features a reunion of some old characters and plenty of new faces and humor. This is the full color, full voice version that is very hard to find.

Sam & Max Hit the Road (256 color talkie version with full speech) - Sam and Max, icons of aventure gaming in their own right. This is their original adventure which tons of stuff was based off of, including a sequel game that never happened sadly. A modern classic if there ever was one and of course this is the full color, full voice version.

Also includes a disc with some LucasArts demos, a demo of Rebel Assault, and the Making Magic behind the scenes Star Wars Special Edition CD they stuck in with everything back then. Also includes the original box, insert, and all documentation including quick start guide. The discs are in good shape with some minor marring but work fine. The little tape deals on the insert that used to hold the games in place have been taped down as they usually cause damage to the games after years of storage. The box shows usual wear but is all there and in fine enough shape to display on a shelf - that's where this copy sat for many years. These games can easily be run on modern computers using the FREE ScummVM engine. $50.00 or offer please, hard to find collection that will provide weeks of entertainment.

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    Sony PlayStation / PlayStation 2

PS1 - Tobal 2 Japanese import. Outstanding fighting and adventure game from Squaresoft, a shame it never saw release in the USA. Comes as pictured with original large case, disc, back insert and booklet. This is a fighting game that will eat up YEARS of your life, works perfectly and is in excellent shape. Please note you will need to have a Japanese PlayStation, Japanese PlayStation 2, or mod chipped PlayStation to run this game as it is an official Japanese release. ($25.00)

PS2 - Art of Fighting Anthology. Official USA release and contains all the Art of Fighting games in one nice package. Complete with original case, insert, instruction booklet and disc. Purchased new by me, opened and played a few times before I remembered I never really cared for the series. ($10.00)

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    Nintendo Super Famicom

SFC - Ranma 1/2 Chounai Gekitou-hen, loose in excellent shape, first in the fighting series. $15.00
SFC - Parodius, boxed complete in good shape with minor crushing on edges of box. $30.00
SFC - Pretty Fighter, boxed complete in absolutely gem mint condition. $25.00

Take the above lot for $65.00 shipped!

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    Gundam ZZ Film Book

Just as the title says, this is the Japanese Gundam ZZ Film Book which catalogs the entire series in print form. It features beautiful full color pages that convert the series into comic form, but it uses screen shots directly from the animation. It's printed on high quality gloss paper and is in perfect condition. A must own if you liked Gundam ZZ or simply love Japanese robot comic art (such as I do). I bought it because I would always feel obligated to buy something when in my favorite comic store. ($50.00 or offer)

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Am I looking for anything? Yeah, Final Lap Special (needs to be complete) for the Bandai WonderSwan Color. As always I will trade for nearly any Tomy Tutor / Tomy Pyuuta item, especially cartridges. I'll take battery doors for Nintendo Game & Watch widescreen units as well. (any color) I'm also always looking for complete PlayStation longbox games, interested in picking up many at a time at a couple bucks each. Lastly, Mamono Hunter Yohko for the Japanese Mega Drive, must be complete.

Will also trade for anime DVDs: Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon SuperS "Pegasus Collection" volumes 4, 5 and 6 (Pioneer releases only, not the Genon rereleases - yes, I know they're the same company). Also the Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon (disc 8 only) and Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon R boxsets released by ADV. No bootlegs, only the release versions listed.
