This is the premium metallic silver DS. Only 1000 will be manufactured for Club Nintendo in Japan. They are also making 1000 premium metallic rose, and 1000 premium metallic black.

Ugh, as a system variant collector I can say that it's rough collecting DSes. It's a never-ending sea of colors and designs. I've stopped picking up the color variants and am focusing on special editions... but might have to pick one of these up. Found a few in the $400-$500 range, possibly a bit cheaper through a JP game shop. Will post pics if I end up pulling the trigger.

might i suggest encasing it in a block of acrylic. Won't make gameplay any easier BUT it wont get fingerprints on it either . Or you could be the first person ever to slab and grade a ds
