I wonder if that has any relation to the link posted, which is a rumor created to win a contest. The rumor was the "XBOX Pure" or a slimmer XBOX 360 which was then posted on Kotaku and then debunked.

I'm always one for smaller electronics, but where will my 360 hard drive fit?

Imagine if the PS1 couldn't use the same memory cards the original Playstation used, or Playstation 2 cards wouldn't fit in a PS2. This has a potential to be a big deal. Hopefully this isn't what it seems to be at first glance.

The side of the guy's desk is cutting off a little of the 360's visual profile, making it look thinner when it's not. Still, like it has been posted before, they need to make it bigger. Make the case one large heatsink, put some better components inside it so it doesn't end up going down in history as being as poorly engineered for longevity as the Colecovision, that kind of thing.
