Total bummer. And according to maxlords, it's a refurbished hard drive being offered at the $29.99 price, not even a brand new one. For that much, you can buy a used one off of Amazon.com or such, so there's really no deal to be had.

Microsoft really needs to be clearer on who gets what with this offer.

Don't think it's worth it for a refurb drive then???

You can actually get what's left of the 20GB Pro systems for $199 in some places.
    That's an even better deal.

Well, if I'm ever going to get a 360 this is the deal to sway me. Still nervous about system failures... it could go either way. It's safe to say that if I pass on this I'm sure I'll not own one until they are retired and being cleared out.

Anyone going to try this? Do you have to be on XBOX Live to get this deal? Dell has a 15% off coupon code right now, to where I could get an Arcade for $164. I'm still nervous because I have over a 50% chance of getting a shitty XBOX apparently.

These holiday bundles are the most recent models out there, so while you still can never know what'll happen, you don't have to worry about getting a worse model compared to some older type.

Since I seemed to have missed the Best Buy deal (all I see the old Pros going for everywhere is around 250-260 bucks), I snapped up this Dell deal. Thanks for mentioning it here. After tax it came out to roughly $180, but free shipping and around 30 bucks off is pretty good to me. Now I just need to figure out if, when, and how I'm going to get a hard drive.
