    Cool.

I'll vouch for Jason, we've "done business" in the past. He's a very good and respectable seller.

I was just wondering becasue I teach an eBay class and people ask me why people list a reserve price. I have to tell them that I am not really sure. I don't use them in my auctions but I am sure people have valid reasons for using them. Why do you use them? Just curious

    Oh.....and my guess is $199.99

one reason to use a reserve is to protect a buy-it-now price without having a high minimum bid.

That first picture is a textbook case of why games should not remain shrinkwrapped.

Actually my local high school AND Tech Institute both have ebay classes. Never took one though.

As far as I know anyone can teach a class on eBay. I know it sounds wierd but people who are intimidated by the internet (yes there are still some of those people out there) especially older people need to be walked through it one time. It's kinda scary that an idiot like me can teach it because I don't have the lovliest of auction pages!! Some of you powersellers ought to consider teaching it.

My original question was why do people use a reserve price. The suggestion that some people use it to protect a BIN price which makes perfect sense. I see alot of auctions where there is a reserve price but no BIN. I just wondered what the big secret is. Why make the reserve price hidden. I just don't get it. (I know....I was not put on this earth to GET IT!! )

It's also just another technique for auctioning. You can set a start bid where you want it, or you can set the reserve and have a low start bid... there are multiple ways to do anything depending on what you prefer. There's nothing complex about it.

Explain this to me, I always thought it resulted in a higer fees! (since the reserve price is the price that they base the insertaion fee on)

You probably got shortchanged, I bet that would have gotten sniped at way higher than $200. I would have taken a run at it myself if not for being sealed. I don't pay more for sealed games...
