Man you know what would be super hard to complete is an official Canadian collection. That scan you have a link of, Shinobi, was the release here in Canada. It is a USA release because it only has english. The thing is, alot of the Canadian releases have the multi language Euro box art. Also, we never had ANY blue label SMS carts. So it seems like Canada got a mix of USA and Euro releases. We definitely had games that never came to retail in USA like Cyber Shinobi, Battle Outrun off the top of my head.

Sonic and Buster Douglas are the two hardest titles to find (USA) in my opinion. If you keep looking you will find them however. Not for "hundreds", but more like in the hundred dollar range. Alternately, you can pick up the European version of the same SMS game for a few bucks and it will work just fine on your USA SMS console. Same game too...

Yes, both are the hardest games to find. Right now, I am only missing Sonic (w/UPC) and Spiderman (w/UPC).

To be perfectly honest, I am only interested in the box and insert. Since it's basically the same UK game, I can just switch carts around if I need to do so. But if I can find them with at least the cart, then I can take the UK manual.

But I hate paying high amounts for a simply UPC sticker. It's insane...alas, necessary to do if one wants to obtain a complete US set.

Ironically, I will be posting a copy of James Buster Douglas for sale soon. It's a spare I have, since I obtained one recently from a very awesome guy.

Another game I found tediously hard to find (complete) was Power Strike. I lucked out but it was a pain. Will also sell my spare game (without manual) for sale soon.

Thanks to Scrimble, I was able to pindown which games have UPC stickers:

Golden Axe Warrior
Strider
Spiderman
Sonic

They are all the UK editions, just with a little UPC sticker in the back.

In Sonic's case, one will have to pay plenty of $$$ on a UPC sticker...
