I want to say that looks like something Nintendo brought over to help US developers program for ths system. But who klnows it could be just a part of a disk system disected. I dont see anything that says 'wideboy' in any of the pictures.
Kinda curious how such items ended up in Salt Lake city Utah. Not exactly the hotbed of technology and software development.

I always understood the Wideboy to be basically a Gameboy that output to a TV, available to developers and magazines (and other similar parties). Supposedly around $700 new. Seems to be a common name for them though, as there seem to versions from the original GB to the GBA, some standalone, some as N64 carts.
