    Default Nintendo WideBoy?

I was strolling through ebay and found this auction:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=3579

I'm not sure what this is, but I thought I'd post it if anyone was interested.

I want to say that looks like something Nintendo brought over to help US developers program for ths system. But who klnows it could be just a part of a disk system disected. I dont see anything that says 'wideboy' in any of the pictures.

Kinda curious how such items ended up in Salt Lake city Utah. Not exactly the hotbed of technology and software development.

Well, whatever it is, I placed a bid. Maybe if one of us wins it we can ship to someone who knows about this crap and find out what it really is.
I am in fact the guy that made the Raisins prototype worth thousands less by dumping it. "D'oh!!"

I always understood the Wideboy to be basically a Gameboy that output to a TV, available to developers and magazines (and other similar parties). Supposedly around $700 new. Seems to be a common name for them though, as there seem to versions from the original GB to the GBA, some standalone, some as N64 carts.

Here's what a little research on google turned up.

The two carts included are the 64K ram carts the Famicom FDS used. This information came from Nesworld

The Wideboy was developed by Camerica and sold primarily to magazines for screen shot purposes. This info comes from here
