Default My famicom cart looks dead.

A while ago I bought Shin Megami Tensei I on the NES (NTSC-J format). I didn't have much desire to play it until very recently so it's too late to blame the seller. I do not own a famicom system, but I own a NEX which can play famicom carts.

Sadly I couldn't get the game to work. I cleaned it many times using Q-Tips and Rubbing Alcohol but it just doesn't work. Wondering if my NEX was the problem, I decided to try my 2 other famicom game (FF3 and DQ4) and they worked on the first try.

I do not have much hope for my Shin Megami Tensei, but maybe you guys have an idea on how I can try to revive it?

Sadly, the NEX is not always reliable with all games...

    Default hmm

Hmmm.. so you think it may be a compatibility issue?

Do you know of any NEX-famicom compatibility list?

Maybe. I had a similar issue with trying to get Game Genies to work on my Yobo Famiclone. Only 1 out of the 4 I had worked on it. As for imports, I use a converter. Sometimes they work on the first try and sometimes they don't. The only real way you can tell with your game is if you try it on another system that plays imports and it doesn't have to be a Nex system.
