    Default NES plastic box protectors

I have a lot of complete NES games, and I was wondering if these protectors are any good? Anyone familiar with theses? If not, does any of you have a better option to protect complete/boxed NES games?

Hehe thanks. I searched "clearbags.com" on this forum and got some answers. But I don't know if it's good or not. I don't seem to see many collector buying these? It makes me wonder if they are worth it...

well they are under a dollar a piece and if it makes it so there is no way to rip, scratch, spill, crush ect. your complete game, then yeah I'd say it'd be worth it. Is paying that extra $4 to put all 4 dragon Warrior games in hard cases worth it? I'd say so. I'm just not sure if they are hard cases like a Saturn case, or if they are flimsy like the old hard case they used to have for sports cards that made it possible to still bend them.

I'm pretty sure they're at least kinda flimsy because they ship flat and you fold them up yourself - you're probably spot on with the sports card plastic idea. It still keeps them safe from a lot of things though, so that's great.

The seller justabum sells them over at NintendoAge. That picture (and probably the auctions you were looking at) is his.
He sells them cheaper then they go on eBay if you contact in on a forum. He MIGHT be a member here, but I'm not sure. I bought 780 of them in my collection:

It is also worthy to note that the box protectors being sold in that particular eBay auction are of an inert plastic (polypropylene) and won't damage the contents of the box over time. The box protectors sold at Clearbags are made of PVC and will turn your boxes a shade of green in a few years.

Edit: In case you're wondering, I bought 275 box protectors from justabum (cost me $150 shipped), and they do their job very well. And if you need help finding him, he's a registered member at NintendoAge .

Yeah, I just read his topic on NintendoAge, he look like a nice guy. I bought the pack of 25 protectors from him on eBay, even if they are a little more pricey there.

My only fear, is that the game may be a little loose inside the protector.

    No problem.

I think the protector is just the perfect size for a CIB/boxed NES game. It allows for just a little bit of movement. I'm sure you won't have any problems.
He's probably sold like 7,000 of them or something (including Atari ones and N64/SNES ones)... hasn't had any complaints..

I bought box protectors for all my NES, SNES and N64 from Bum at Nintendoage as well. Awesome product, you won't be disappointed. I also keep my boxed Genesis games (the cardboard boxes, not the clamshell cases) in the NES box protectors. It fits snug just like the SNES/N64 games do.
