pretty slow week. These were from a thrift stop on Saturday. total was 6 bucks, although I also found a bag of random but very cool Legos for another $6 (one of the best parts of having a kid!). I got the Game Players mag because it has Snatcher, Super Punch-Out, and MegaMan X2 reviews in it.

looks like the VHS is hard to make out... it is a promo for Diddy Kong Racing.

I picked up Pikmin 2 today. I've been looking for a copy for awhile and finally found one. Its the Player's Choice copy but was complete even with all the inserts.

I also got Spawn for the Dreamcast a few days ago.

I recently got a boxed orange one at work and just exchanged my black one out of it. How worth it is it to get all of the system colours? We just got a green one in.

It depends on what you mean.

From a money standpoint the colored systems are worth a bit more. The gold is worth the most. The green I believe is the most common because it was released first in a Donkey Kong pack and then later on with the other colors. The gold was a toysrus exclusive so it is harder to find.

From the I am a collecting freak that has to have every variant of everything standpoint it is soooo worth it.

Picked up a couple really nice things from craigslist deals today. First up, Samba de Amigo!


This wasn't a steal, but just a good deal. Particularly given how good condition everything is, including the disc. I assume the maracas had instructions, but sadly they aren't here. I'm leaning towards keeping this in my collection, just because it is so unique. I'm only on the fence because I never got very into DC and almost never hook it up to play. Still the artwork is just about worth keeping for its own sake! Sorry Porksta, I'll let you know if I change my mind.

And a Nintendo DS Lite.


I've never owned one of these before, but picked this up with the game in the picture and a loose 'Club House Games' for $75. I figure if I don't like it I can easily get my money out of it and then some. My wife is babysitting the neighbor baby after he is asleep tonight, so I'm going to send it with her. I think she'll really like this Layton game based on what I've read.

The Elmo game was 1.50 at GW, and in excellent condition. I may put this on and see how my 2 yr old does with it; I've got other age-appropriate games in my collection, but I've just never had them handy when I'm thinking about it. He's had minimal gaming/TV time, largely because my computer is hooked up in the living room to the TV, and I'm on/off it all throughout the day. I'm a little embarrassed that he can barely hold a controller correctly.

Sorry no pics, but we did find some Mario/Nintendo toys from Taco Bell, I believe from 1997-1998 (cant remember the year). About 2 of them are sealed, and I also kept the boxes the kids meal came in. I forgot I had those since I left them at my moms house. Does anyone know if these are rare?
